"Payment kept failing with no clear reason"
I tried placing an order on Cryos, but the payment kept failing for no obvious reason. It was frustrating because the exact same card worked perfectly fine on other websites that same day.
I gave it some time and tried again later, switched browsers, and even contacted my bank to check if anything had been blocked. They confirmed there were no issues on their end, but the payment still would not go through.
Support took a while to respond and, the advice was not very helpful — basically just to try again. For an important order, that made the whole situation unnecessarily stressful, and in the end I just gave up

"Customer service took forever"
I reached out to Cryos International a couple of times with what I thought was a straightforward question about my order, but the whole thing dragged on way longer than I expected. i started losing track of when I’d first messaged them versus when they actually replied, because the timing just felt all over the place.
The first response I got seemed like a generic copy-paste answer and didn’t really clear anything up, so I had to follow up again. Then more days passed, or at least it felt like days, and I was still waiting for a proper answer. For something this important, I really expected better support. I mostly just felt ignored and stressed the entire time.

"Not great if you're outside the US"
I tried using the site from my country and kept getting blocked, which was frustrating. Maybe it works fine in the US, but from my experience, it doesn’t seem very friendly for international users.
"Confusing identity release choices"
I was disappointed with the identity release options on Cryos. At first it seemed like it would be simple to understand, but once I started reading into the details, I felt more confused about what my future child would actually be able to access later.
For something this important, I really expected clearer information without having to dig around so much. Support didn’t make me feel any more confident either, and I ended up stopping because I just didn’t trust the process.

"Hard to use and kind of frustrating"
I tried using the website and honestly... it got annoying fast. Pages were slow to load, then I’d click around and kind of forget where I even was. The filters didn’t really make things clearer either. Some basic info felt hidden behind way too many clicks. On my phone, it was even messier. I expected to find what I needed quickly, but after a while I just gave up.

I felt unsure about the genetic screening process. "Didn’t feel totally confident about the compliance info"
I spent some time looking into Cryos International, i just didn’t come away feeling fully confident about the regulatory side of things. Maybe I was overthinking it a bit, but with something this important, I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
Some of the information felt a little hard to follow, especially around rules, oversight, and how everything is actually checked. It’s possible the details are there somewhere, but I didn’t feel like they were clear enough for me to relax about it.
For something this serious, I really need to feel 100% sure before moving forward. I didn’t get that feeling, so in the end, I decided to step back and look elsewhere.

"I’ve stuck with this brand for a while..."
I’ve stuck with this brand for a while and usually try to give them the benefit of the doubt, so this was disappointing. The staff just came across cold and rushed, and it felt like nobody really wanted to help. I wasn’t expecting anything special, just basic courtesy, but the whole interaction ended up feeling awkward. Kind of torn because I still like the brand, but this visit left a bad impression.

I was already dealing with a really hard situation, and the way it was handled just felt cold and uncaring. I wasn’t expecting miracles, but I did expect some basic kindness and accountability. When people are going through something difficult, it matters how you treat them, and I really hope they take responsibility for improving that.

My order showed up late again, which is frustrating. I know delays happen, but at this point my brain just takes the shortcut of assuming the shipping is going to be a hassle whenever I order. Not a great experience...

Well... I found the reservation and storage options to be rigid. After I booked, trying to change the dates or adjust the storage setup felt like way more of a hassle than it should’ve been, and the information wasn’t all that clear to me either. I understand there have to be rules, but with something this important, I expected a little more flexibility. Instead, I ended up feeling locked in and stressed rather than helped.

I expected the donor profiles to give me a clearer sense of who each person was, but they felt thin. When you’re making a decision that feels this meaningful, little details matter, and I just didn’t feel like there was enough to go on. I wasn’t really happy with how the long-term storage was handled. It felt messy from the start, it stayed messy the whole time. I was really hoping to find more sibling matching options, since that was an important part of what we were looking for and I don’t think that’s an unreasonable thing to prioritize. Unfortunately, it felt like those options were barely available for us, which made the whole process more frustrating than I expected.
